ABOUT ICUBED SUMMIT

The iCubed Summit is an annual virtual event designed to kickstart innovation, expose youth to the entrepreneurial growth mindset and highlight the abundance of opportunity that exists throughout our communities.

The seed of iCubed Summit was planted in 2017 by its founder, Sagar Saxena, with the strong partnership of School District 91; which serves a large geographical area in rural Northern British Columbia.

iCubed brings together powerful keynote speakers, inspirational industry leaders, energetic entertainment, and valuable giveaways (including scholarships!). Each participating school receives a box packed full of hands-on engaging activities, nutritional snacks, and a selection of gifts from our partners and team. All schools in Northern BC also receive a free pizza lunch!

Our virtual iCubed Summit event is open to all Gr. 9, 10, & 11 students in Canada.

YOUTH RETENTION IS ESSENTIAL FOR RURAL ECONOMIES TO STAY ALIVE AND PROSPEROUS.

Too often, talent leaves our small communities in order to access opportunities in urban centers; this trend has been accelerated further by COVID, automation and technological advancement. Additionally, youth in rural and remote communities often experience unequal access to events and programming that are available to youth in urban centres. Keeping the iCubed Summit on a virtual platform allows us to continue providing students in rural and remote areas with a greater awareness of career pathways, empowerment, knowledge exchange, and an introduction to the growth mindset.

iCubed highlights that opportunity is truly everywhere. Investing in the next generation of change-makers by empowering, inspiring, and providing them with the best possible resources allows us to help pave the path towards diversifying and sustaining the economies through our communities.

It is through unique special events like this that high school students can explore and learn about entrepreneurship and the many unique career paths open to them. Entrepreneurship needs to be encouraged at an early age.
