OUR GOAL WAS TO REACH 500 STUDENTS FOR OUR 2021 VIRTUAL EVENT…

What started as a small event in 2017 with 75 students in Vanderhoof from SD91, slowly began to grow over the years to 250 students with plans to move to Prince George and be hosted at UNBC last May. COVID-19 changed those plans and the 2020 in-person event was postponed. We set our goal to attract 500 students for a virtual event in 2021.

We surpassed those numbers with 945 students signing up from all over BC. Thank you to the teachers, school districts, sponsors, and champions!  Check out the infographic below that shows our data from the 2021 event! To view the full report of the iCubed Summit 2021 event, click here.

ICUBED SUMMIT 2021 REIMAGINED…

We reimagined The Annual iCubed Summit kickstarts entrepreneurial thinking for youth from rural communities throughout Northern BC. In non-pandemic years, it is a live event held in Prince George BC on the University of Northern BC’s campus where students stay at the University and experience hands-on workshops, meet teachers & innovative entrepreneurs from all over BC, and participate in the business pitch competitions.

With social distancing and other COVID-19 protocols, we knew we needed to reimagine something different for 2021. This event is for Gr.9, 10, & 11 students.

WELCOME TO Our new format - THE iCubed Summit Virtual Viewing Party.

With a combination of music playlists, activities, swag, and food, we will have safe sized groups of teens tune in online to our event from all over the province. We will also include special VIP event packages sent to Northern BC students. Together with their teacher facilitators & our guest speakers, we are turning the regular online video call, into an interactive experience. We hope that you will join us!
